Design of a Modelling Framework for Multi-Agent Systems*
نویسندگان
چکیده
Multi-agent systems can be successfully modelled and specified as interacting complex components in a compositional architecture. Compared to the specification of single agent compositional systems, the specification of multi-agent systems requires additional design (or modelling) choices. In this paper, design choices regarding interaction and autonomy of compositional models of intelligent agents are investigated. The choices made have implications for the specification framework, especially for its mechanisms for information exchange and task control. The influence of the modelling choices is discussed for the modelling framework DESIRE, a specific framework for compositional systems in particular for the specification of intelligent autonomous agents. Alternatives for the choices made in DESIRE are also presented.

A Framework for Modelling Multi-agent Systems
Modelling and reasoning about multi-agent systems has been one of the main problems for designers of distributed systems. In this paper we present a logical framework for representing and reasoning about these systems. The framework uses the idea of contexts as presented by Giunchiglia and his colleagues and the ideas regarding multi-agent systems as presented by Morley, George , and Rao. The n...
متن کاملA class of multi-agent discrete hybrid non linearizable systems: Optimal controller design based on quasi-Newton algorithm for a class of sign-undefinite hessian cost functions
In the present paper, a class of hybrid, nonlinear and non linearizable dynamic systems is considered. The noted dynamic system is generalized to a multi-agent configuration. The interaction of agents is presented based on graph theory and finally, an interaction tensor defines the multi-agent system in leader-follower consensus in order to design a desirable controller for the noted system. A...
متن کاملAdaptive Consensus Control for a Class of Non-affine MIMO Strict-Feedback Multi-Agent Systems with Time Delay
In this paper, the design of a distributed adaptive controller for a class of unknown non-affine MIMO strict-feedback multi agent systems with time delay has been performed under a directed graph. The controller design is based on dynamic surface control method. In the design process, radial basis function neural networks (RBFNNs) were employed to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions. S...
متن کاملDESIRE: Modelling Multi-Agent Systems in a Compositional Formal Framework
This paper discusses an example of the application of a high-level modelling framework which supports both the specification and implementation of a system's conceptual design. This framework, DESIRE (framework for DEsign and Specification of Interacting REasoning components), explicitly models the knowledge, interaction, and coordination of complex tasks and reasoning capabilities in agent sys...
متن کاملAdaptive Distributed Consensus Control for a Class of Heterogeneous and Uncertain Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems
This paper has been devoted to the design of a distributed consensus control for a class of uncertain nonlinear multi-agent systems in the strict-feedback form. The communication between the agents has been described by a directed graph. Radial-basis function neural networks have been used for the approximation of the uncertain and heterogeneous dynamics of the followers as well as the effect o...
